Edniche Scholarship is created to provide financial assistance to students who want to study English at Edniche but cannot afford to pay full tuition fees. Our mission is to offer opportunities to as many committed Cambodian learners as we can. We stand strong to our belief that being truly proficient in the English language, Cambodian people have a higher chance to succeed academically and socially. 

General conditions:

  1. The scholarship is granted for one year with the possibility of extension given satisfactory performance and learning progress. 
  2. The Merit Scholarship is not a competition. We offer a scholarship based on the quality of your essay and also the accuracy of your spelling. 
  3. The Goodwill scholarship is offered based on your current financial situation. You should only submit truthful evidence. More information about you might be requested during the scholarship interview. 
  4. The scholarship is offered in two categories. You may apply in both categories, though you will be awarded only ONE.
  5. Students who wish to apply for a scholarship to enroll in Edniche’s IELTS preparation course must first take the placement test to verify eligibility.
  6. The scholarship offered covers only the tuition at Edniche. It does not include an official IELTS test fee even upon graduation.

FAQ

The scholarship is divided into two categories:

  • The Goodwill Scholarship is for students who can prove financial shortage and need help. There will be no test or any paper examination. The application is free-of-charge. The candidates will need to submit convincing evidence of their financial status. An interview will be held so the students can present their cases. 
  • The Merit Scholarship does not require any financial need assessment. Anyone can apply. The application fee is 10$, non-refundable. Applicants will have to participate in Khmer Essay Composition Challenge. The quality of the essay determines the percentage of the scholarship to be awarded. 
  • There is no 100% scholarship. 

No, you don’t. You can evidence your financial needs with any relevant documents you may have. For example, in most cases, you would say you are employed with decent pay. However, you need to support the family and siblings. And you are requesting for 30% scholarship. Think of what can prove your salary. Think of how you can justify your expense in supporting the family. 

It is easy! 

No, you do not. We do not compare your writing with anyone. When you write, pay attention to the content, coherence and cohesion, and the accuracy of the language use and writing. 

The scholarship can be used to enroll in:

  1. English for General Communication (EGC)
  2. Guaranteed General English Program (GGEP)
  3. IELTS Preparation Course (IELTS)

No, the scholarship is awarded for one year. With excellent performance and results, it is highly likely that you will be awarded the second year and more. 

Of course, yes. Though you will be able to claim only one after the result is out.

No, you cannot. The only place to submit your application is Edniche’s Student Office.
